About mocktomerbot
mocktomerbot is the crawler behind mocktomer.ai — a service where site owners send AI shoppers through their own website to learn why customers leave, and check how AI assistants see them.
We only visit when a site owner directs it. Every crawl happens because someone added that site to mocktomer and confirmed they own it or are authorized to have it browsed. We never crawl the open web, never harvest content for training, and never visit sites nobody asked us to.
A typical visit is small: the homepage, a handful of linked pages (at most six requests), plus robots.txt, llms.txt, and sitemap.xml as part of an AI-readability check. Shopper sessions additionally browse the site in a real browser, the way a visitor would — they never place real orders and never enter card details.
To stop us: if you believe your site was added without authorization, email support@mocktomer.ai and we'll block the domain. You can also block the user-agent mocktomerbot in robots.txt or your WAF — we identify ourselves on every request.
